What is The Sharing Economy and Listia’s Peer-to-Peer Marketplace?

Listia is part of an emerging trend to help people recycle, reuse and repurpose items while extracting value from their unwanted items around the house. On Listia’s marketplace, you can share your previously used items, by offering them to others, and getting credits in return. You can then use those credits to get the things you really need and love from someone else. Listia is unique to the sharing economy because you never need to use money to get the things you want, but only share or trade with others in a peer-to-peer marketplace.

Other examples of sharing economy companies include Airbnb or Lyft, which allow people to extract value from their current possessions, while offering goods or services to someone else.

Listia has been helping people join the sharing economy movement since 2009. View the Birth of the Sharing Economy Infographic to see just how big of an impact Listia is making.
